MARCI Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

February 17, 2009

 

The meeting was called to order by the president, Geoff Haines, N1GY

Present were:

 

      Geoff Haines, N1GY, President, Present

      Frank Morton, AC4MK, Vice President. Interim Treasurer Present

      Jerry Johnson, AE4XW, Secretary, Present

      Bob Somerville, KD4EFT, Director, Present

      Ed Skalecki, NI4MX, Director

      Jonelle Nabergall, KI4WSN, Director, Present

 

A quorum being present, the meeting continued.

 

The minutes from the previous meeting, having been distributed to the board electronically beforehand, were accepted as distributed.

 

Refreshments provided by Geoff Haines.

 

The Treasurers Report: The treasurer’s report was given by Frank Morton.

 

Education: The Technician class, information is being sent out via the internet, we want people to call in so we get a name and number

May. 09 Elections

Jun. 09 Field Day Preparation, ED, Frank and Geoff.

Aug. No Meeting.

 

We have one new member application form a Mr. John Zinn KB7SCS, he was voted on and approved.

 

New Business:

It is time to begin developing the slate of officers for next year. Elections are at the May meeting and some of the present board members will not run for reelection. We need nominations for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and three Director Positions. We will ask for nominations from the floor at the April meeting.

Jonelle Nabergall, KI4WSN made a motion that the club have a breakfast on the first Saturday of the month, at 08:30AM, at Fioans Restraint on 15 St. and 51st Avenue. Seconded by Bob Somerville, KD4EFT. Motion Carried.

 

Having no further business we adjourned the meeting.
