MARCI Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
January 20, 2009
The meeting was called to order by the president, Geoff Haines, N1GY
Present were:

Frank Morton, AC4MK, Vice President. Interim Treasurer Present
Jerry Johnson, AE4XW, Secretary, Present
Bob Somerville, KD4EFT, Director, Present
Ed Skalecki, NI4MX, Director, Present
Jonelle Nabergall, KI4WSN, Director, Present
A quorum being present, the meeting continued.
The minutes from the previous meeting, having been distributed to the board electronically beforehand, were accepted as distributed.
The Treasurers Report: The treasurer’s report was given by Frank Morton.
A motion was made by Jonelle Nabergall to accept the treasurer’s report as read; this was voted on and accepted.
A motion was made and passed to change the billing of the club website to go directly to Frank Morton to be paid by check.
Committee: Reports:
Education: we’ve only had two people ask about license classes so none are planned at this time.
Programs: for 2008 – 2009
Ed Skalecki will do the program on Feb. 09 covering Echolink.

Aug. No Meeting.
Much discussion was held on new members, sorry but I was not able to record all of the names, in our business meeting of February I will get an up to date list and publish it. The full conversation is recorded and saved both on tape and on my computer. The recording will be available at the business meeting.
New Business:
It is time to begin developing the slate of officers for next year. Elections are at the May meeting and some of the present board members will not run for reelection. We need nominations for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and three Director positions. We will ask for nominations from the floor at the April meeting.
Having no further business we adjourned the meeting.
