MINUTES Membership Business Meeting
April 07 2009
The meeting was called to order by Geoff Haynes, N1GY, President, at 7:00 PM
We gave the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Introductions of all present were given
The minutes from the previous meetings were accepted
as published on the web site www.manatee-arc.org.
The treasurer’s report was given and approved by Frank Morton.
Membership: given by Bob Somerfield, we now have 63 members
Bruce gave a report on the breakfast at Fionas restaurant 5026 15th St E.
A report on the tech class was given by Roger Byron we now have 7 people signed up.

Simpson KF4MBN reported on the repeaters the 147.195 has been change to the
correct call sign. Steve is looking at moving the 442 machine to Blake Hospital
and the 195 machine to the dam, these machines are all owned and controlled by
the county. There is a future project of linking the repeaters when funds are
available.
Ed talked
about the FL QSL Party. We are going to participate and set up at the Red Cross
Parking lot on Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th.
Everyone is welcome.
Speaker for the evening is Frank Morton, AC4MK. He gave a very informative talk on Huricanes and what to do.
